Papal audiences and the Angelus
- General Audience: usually on Wednesday morning, in St Peter's Square or in the Paul VI Hall. Tickets are free and are requested in advance from the Prefecture of the Papal Household (see the official vatican.va website). Anyone selling them is not an official source.
- Angelus / Regina Caeli: the Pope usually leads the prayer on Sunday at noon from the window overlooking St Peter's Square; no ticket is needed.
- The Pope's schedule changes (travel, summer period, special celebrations): always check the official calendar for your dates.
The Jubilee 2025 ended on 6 January 2026. If you read "Jubilee 2026" offers elsewhere, they refer to a year that is over.
Getting to St Peter's from Valle Aurelia
- 3 minutes on foot to Valle Aurelia station.
- Metro A, two stops (direction Anagnina) to Ottaviano.
- About 10 minutes on foot along Via Ottaviano to St Peter's Square. Allow time for security at the colonnade on audience days.
Valle Aurelia is also a stop of the FL3 regional train, which serves the Roma San Pietro station one stop away, on the south side of the Vatican.
Groups: how we organise it
The three apartments (D1 74 m² up to 6, D2 52 m² up to 4, D4 68 m² up to 6) are on the same first floor, so a group can stay together. Each apartment has its own kitchen, so meals in the evening are easy. Every guest needs to be registered (identity document) as required by Italian law, and the Rome city tax applies (€6 per person per night, maximum 10 nights, under-10s exempt). For a group request, write to the staff on WhatsApp with dates and number of people: we answer with the real availability and the direct price.
Please note: first floor, one flight of stairs, no lift.
